Funny little stories
Wyatt loves a good laugh here are a few stories he has made up.
"Mom you remember that time when I drove the Durango, and I had my coffee right there and I had my diet coke then We stopped and I got a big burger?"
While grandpa Jim mowed yard Wyatt told me this falsehood. "Pa Jim got a tick on his head."
"really?"
"Pa Jim got a tick on his head and Grandma picked it off!"
"Yuck! When did this happen?"
"Saturday"
While riding tricycles he told Ryan "Pigs live down there." He was pointing to the old pig barn. But, there have not been pigs in that barn since the 70s. Ryan disagreed but Wyatt told him in a matter of fact tone, "Pigs live down there."
We drove down to my Mothers hometown for a family reunion today. Wyatt asked where we were going and I told him, "Manchester". He started laughing and giggling, "you mean OH MAN-chester!". He could not control how silly that was, "OH MAN-chester!"

Skipping stones
This was Ws version of skipping stones. If you look closely at the sky you can see the handfuls of rocks he was throwing into the river.

Poopin prize
This little boy was running around the yard today, in underwear, playing in the sprinklers. He kept doing the "I gotta poopie wiggle" but insisted he didn't need to go. Finally, I swooped in and took over. I put that wet fish on the potty, gave him a paci and told him to try to go. He "fell" off the potty whining, "just diaper change me". Nope, back on the potty. While I ran outside to unload the car, Mom said he came bolting out of the bathroom wiggling around and proclaiming "I poopied in the potty!" The celebration commenced. Hip hip hooray! Hip hip hooray filled the house as I came back inside. Wyatt was completely naked jumping up and down, spinning in circles and beaming with delight! I hugged him and kissed him and told him how proud I was of him!!! Of course we had to run into the bathroom and see the contents of the potty! Sure enough, he had done his business! Together, we excitedly yet carefully emptied the potty into the big toilet and Wyatt got to do the honors. He flushed that poopie away! I asked him, "do you know what you get because you poopied in the potty". He said, "YES, a diet coke!!!!!" Well, that's wasn't the answer I was expecting. I'd promised him everything lately. I told him he could have a combine harvester, a leap frog touch book thing, a match box car, a garden pail and shovel. Anything to get him to poopie in the potty. Then there was that one time when he picked up a diet coke and stated, "I'm big enough to have this now". I told him "No, Sir only people who poop in the potty can have diet coke". Can you believe that is what he remembered and wanted! Fail at motherhood. I didn't want to reward behavior with food items! Especially, junk foods! Oh well... He pooped in the potty and he got a watered down diet coke. He was so happy and proud. He did instruct me to "open it and put a straw in it". For the record he only took a few sips. :)

Helpers
Luke and Wyatt helping Grandma Shirley vacuum at Church! Wyatt has also been helping Grandma Etta pass out bulletins and shake hands on Sunday mornings! He melts me heart!
Surprise!
We had a surprise visit from Pap. Probably more surprising to Pap was how big and crazy all four grand kids are together!
Wyatt told me, "Gran wasn't there, she flying her plane. She had to work".
Good job Gran didn't realize you got you private Pilots license after all ;)

Dirty face
This dirty faced little boy love to pick cherries. We have a Cherry Tree in the farm that is ripe for the picking. We have been out the last three days picking as many as we can. Wyatt picks, checks for Hermies and Wormies, then eats them. I honestly don't know how many worms he has eaten. I try not to think about it. I always instruct him to pick out the seed and check for worms. But, none of his cherries have worms... We picked about two gallons of Cherries. Seems like we put a lot of work into not much outcome. I will forever remember how sweet my little Wyatt was picking And eating his fill of ripe cherries. Baby Dustin also participated from his bouncy seat or exersaucer. He is a good little sport!
Xenia high school
We went to see a show at XHS. Wyatt loved it. He did ask where the boat was? He thought we were going on a Cruise boat to see a show. :) haha Dustin loved it too! He danced and clapped his hands almost the whole time. Which was remarkable because it was a two hour long show.

Oh the things they say
Wyatt was dancing and singing this evening when he was supposed to be eating dinner. I'd asked him to come back to the table several times, but he was too busy. I went into the living to see him with his pretend microphone singing "singing a song, singing a song" while in the background Mom was playing a song about "ain't that a kick in the head". He was darling! But, he was disobeying. He clearly knew he was disobeying too because he stop when we saw me and said, "You don't say anything...you just a baby... All you can say is Da da..."
I turned around, composed myself and then said "Wyatt come eat dinner".
After Dinner he was sad because grandma would not let him jump on her chair like a trampoline. He was determined that he needed a trampoline and Grandma explained to him she didn't have one. Then, I found one! A pretend trampoline was hiding underneath the chair! I pulled it out and we all jumped in the living room together. It was exhausting. Somehow the one trampoline I found turned Ito three and Dustin, Mommy and Wyatt each had their own trampoline. Wyatt would call out what we had to do. "jump" "fall down" "jump" It was crazy, it was close to bedtime, but he giggled and laughed an loved it! So, did Dustin. :)
