As many of you know I love a bargain! The bargain bug was starting to bite and I wanted to see what I could find. I look up local thrift stores and found in three in Prattville.

I got a brand new Melissa and Doug united states of America puzzle for 3.99.

A cried over water gun for 1.50.

Pump it up

Montgomery has several kid friendly activities. Here is one we visited on Friday, Pump it up. Basically, think inflatable bouncy castle, inflatable basketball court, inflatable jumbo two story high slide and a inflatable obstacle course.

Wyatt spent his time either jumping, sliding or running in circles squealing with delight and pointing at which activity he wanted to try next.

From 930 to 1100 he jumped he's heart out. It only cost 6.60 for the open jump. This is a new weekly adventure! Sorry the pictures are blurry! I only had my iPhone with me. And, yes I was in every single one with Wyatt. I even got to slide several times. :)

Montgomery Museum of fine Arts

Yes, I took my 17 month old to the fine arts museum. I am trying to start art appreciation at an early age!

Ok, They have an amazing kids area. Some activities were too advanced for Wyatt, he did his best to keep up. They had easels set up for drawing, a picture framing game, a abstract picture turned into racetrack with remote control race cars, blocks, books, puzzles, a puppet area, a thermal body dance wall, and a patch work Velcro quilt. Wyatt explored it all. He even wanted to sit on the easels and color. We stayed for about an hour and a half. Admission was free! I think we will return again soon.

We are Pregnant

We feel so blessed to announce that we are expecting a new arrival in August. I am seven and a half weeks pregnant. We are praying that everything continues to go well. After a little scare at 5 weeks (I had some unexpected spotting) all seems to be settling down. We also thank you for continued prayers and we know that God is in control no matter what happens. In the mean time, I had my first experience with morning sickness at six weeks. I thought it was going to last forever and I was convinced I was having a girl. But, I woke up the morning of  week 7 and haven't been nauseous since. Which also convinced me its now a boy. Granted, I am eating everything in sight. We will keep you all posted.

Squadron officer school

We arrived in Montgomery a week ago. Since then, I've converted this tiny studio apartment into a livable space for our family.
The kitchen is miniature but it is stocked with the basics. A refrigerator, microwave, sink, oven with stove burners, and ample storage for our five weeks stay. We even were supplied with a toaster, coffee maker, a few pots and pans, silverware, dish-ware, and kitchen utensils. What I needed extra the "loan locker" let me barrow.
Such as:
Pizza cutter, high chair, baking sheets, muffin tins, pie plate, extra silverware, large drinking glasses, cheese grater, can opener, and an extra laundry basket.
A few tips for soon to be SOSers.
After polling my girlfriends, I found it useful to bring with me some of my most favorite kitchen gadgets. A cock pot, cutting board, my favorite knifes, extra dish cloths and towels, extra wash cloths, DVDs, books, our own queen size sheets and pillows, a memory foam mattress topper, blender, our pack and play, extra quilt and blankets, night lights, flashlight, laptop, printer, cleaning supplies, and vacuum, curtains, tacts, tape, hole punch, and a mini broom and dust pan.
Now it feels like home sweet home... Alabama.

SOS

Here is where we are hiding Wyatt. His pack and play in nestled on one side of the closet. I've hung a curtain over the doorway to help block out the light.
It actually is working very well.

It's a very cozy room.
