Glorious Day

We had a few errands to run this morning in preparation for my Dear friend Ls visit!!! Super excited to see her it's been almost two years since we last saw each other in San Antonio.

Wyatt and I left the house at 9:30! I mean off to a great start! We went to the Ross and Staples. Somehow, it was noon and still we needed to go to Walmart. Which means W needs to eat and nap soon. I knew I should go home and skip Walmart. But, I'm pretty clever.

"Wyatt are you hungry?"
"yes!"
"would you like some chicken nuggets"
"yes, I need chicken nuggets!!!"

Problem solved! We would grab chicken nuggets, eat in the cart at Walmart then be back home by 1:00pm and nap time!

While at Walmart Wyatt kept shooting everyone!! "Bang Bang Bang" he'd say when some nice person would talk to him. I'd remind Wyatt that we love all the people God made and we only shoot things we are going to eat. We don't shoot people. But, one elderly gentleman in a wheel chair shot Wyatt back! It was great and Wyatt loved it! So, much for not shooting people.

Then later that afternoon, Wyatt was shooting at the trees. I asked what he was shooting. He looked at me like Duh! Don't you see them? Then yelled, "Birds, bang bang!!!"

I apologize this post is kind of random... So, Wyatt never did take a nap today. We got home at 115pm laid him down and he talked to Ernie, read books, sang and whined for two hours! Now, not a straight two hours because after one hour I checked on him, changed his diaper and told him he still had to rest his eyes. I knew he'd be asleep in a matter of minutes. I was wrong. After another hour, I went in and he merrily jumped out of bed. While telling me all the things he needed to play with. "I need more poopies", "I need tractor", "I need construction truck". I laid down in his bed and he said "Mommy sleeping, I sing a song". He then sang several songs to me while he played in his room. Most songs went "ah awe dada lala Bo Bo Bo". Not sure why, but almost every song ended in "Bo Bo Bo". He sang to me five times! He is so sweet!

After the no nap time we went to the pool with friends. I started thinking how I'd tell D that after I had Wyatt I was going to be a Gym Rat. I must have been horrible confused because I think I became a Beach Bum :) Then after pool we played at the park before heading back home. Yes, this is the best picture I have of the boys from today.

For the grandparents

Instead of trying to explain why Wyatt thinks this movie is so funny, I thought I'd try and catch it on video.

New baby room

Option one.

New baby room

Option two

I'm working on more window mistreatments and can't decide what I like better. Any advice is welcome.

New baby room

I recovered this toy box my step dad made for me. Hopefully, the new baby will be able to enjoy it as much as I did.

I might add some trim to spice it up a little, but I have to avoid making it girlie!!

Thomas the train

Wyatt falling over laughing so hard at Mr. Conductor.

Thomas the train

While watching Thomas the train, Wyatt found this part hilarious! I can't figure out why this is so funny but each time I replay this scene Wyatt cracks up!

Big brother

I think W will be a good big brother. He loves to help take care of these two dolls I had when I was little. He insists that they take naps in the bassinet. Here he is pretending to be asleep too. Hopefully, once baby boy number two arrives we will be able to keep W out of the bassinet.

I volunteered to make dinner for a new Mom today. I made pioneer woman meat balls, mashed potatoes, salad and cherry pie. I had so much food leftover that I convinced my friend Sarah and her two boys to join me for dinner. What a blessing they were this evening. It is always fun to watch them interact.

Z bought Wyatt his Paci and said, "here Wyatt" then promptly stuck the Paci in Wyatt's mouth. Later, I caught Wyatt with his arms around Zs head and attempting to pull him backward?!?! Not sure what was going on. But, it didn't phase Z. B and W played harmonics together and at one point B was riding on the bouncy horse and playing the harmonic! All he needed was a cowboy hat. Such fun boys!

32 weeks

I can't tell, but I don't think this picture ever loaded correctly for my 32 week post. Not that I am a fan of taking pregnancy pictures of myself at all!!! I think I look ridiculous, I mean it's a picture of myself in front of a mirror! Bad lighting! Do you smile or not? Look at yourself or the camera? All these questions and I didn't even do my hair. Furthermore, my belly button is popped out and pokes threw all my clothes! Completely embarrassing! :) Oh well, I thank and praise the Lord daily for this little boy He is forming within. I pray that I will teach him Gods Love and his life will be blessed.

My nails don't look half bad ;)

Happy fourth of July

I made this yummy treat from a "Women's Day" recipe. Basically, it normal short bread recipe. Which, is a normal biscuit recipe but with sugar added. Then, the fruit is more of a berry salad instead of just strawberries. The real wow factor is making your own whipped cream and adding orange rind to the fruit! Delicious!!

Btw making your own whip cream is easy peazy! I had no idea. Heavy whipping cream plus a little sugar beat till soft peaks form. Why didn't I discover this sooner!!!

Happy fourth of July

Joy

What joy Wyatt brings to this house! I'd like to share with you a few high lights from today's conversations with Wyatt.

Wyatt was biting this black pillow and swinging it back and forth like a dog would shake a toy. He thought this was a lot of fun! He'd laugh, fall down and shake the pillow harder. I too was laughing at the ridiculousness of the whole event. Then, W hands me the pillow and says, "Mommy's turn". I told him no thank you Mommy doesn't want a turn.

In this picture he is watching Tim McGraw's Indian Outlaw video. He got very excited and shouted, "Howdy's Singing!!!" Then he got up and started to sing and dance.

To top off the evening, I read the bible story to Wyatt about Jesus says "Let the little children come unto me". I sang him Jesus Loves Me then kissed him goodnight. He was snuggled on his pillow, Ernie the monkey tucked under his arm, and his Paci in his mouth when he said "Bye Mommy".
I whispered back, "Bye bubby, Mommy loves you, Daddy loves you and Jesus loves you too!"

New hall closet

Newly organized and repurposed hall closet.

Another relaxing day!

We woke up this morning and cleaned the house like a true nester would! The cabinets have been scrubbed down, the furniture cleaned and the hall closets totally reorganized. I know normal people would not have enjoyed their morning but I was delighted to get everything done! Wyatt was a huge help. He cleaned his car and the windows.

We ate lunch outside and played in the pool! We were both so exhausted by noon that we took a nap! Later we were invited to go to the base pool with friends. I took them up on their invitation! Wyatt played with Sam and Frankie Lu in the pool for a little while then he wanted to swim in the big pool with his whale of a Mother. :) He did a great job blowing bubbles and kicking his legs. Unfortunately, while
we were swimming in the big pool we missed a phone call from Daddy! :(

Window mistreatments

I finished my first true mistreatment. I will have to honestly say I wished I would just sewn everything together. Half way through my hot glue gun party I decided to embrace the mistreatment and make it work. The picture didn't turn out very well.

Hanging out

We had a relaxing 4th of July! I loved being invited to a little get together with friends here on base. We shared dinner together then watched while the little ones ran around and had fun! Prefect way to spend the evening.

Brownies:

6 tablespoons cocoa
100 mls oil
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
3/4 cups flour

Mix it all together then bake at 350 degrees for 28 mins.

Now I need that potato salad recipe!

Later that evening we played in the pool and ended the day with a pop corn snack and Sesame Street. W had a great 4th. No fireworks for us. We were already in bed! :)

Comfy?

While I was busy in the nursery, Wyatt was busy finding a new comfy spot.

Thomas choo choo

Wyatt is really started to voice his opinions. Yesterday, he requested to watch Thomas Choo Choo, which is actually a James Train movie that GranT had bought while she was here. It was a hit with W and he watched it almost everyday. But, GranT left and thus so did the James movie. Wyatt was repeating over and over again, " I neeeeeed Thomas Choo Choo". I was so thankful to finally find something on TV to do with trains! He was delighted and I was delighted that Daddy bought the on Demand package from FiOs. Thanks Daddy for coming to the rescue once again!!!

Living large hillbilly style

While W played in the pool this afternoon I "built" a cloths line. I figured if I'm going to do this whole cloth diapering thing I'd better have a clothes line. If you can look closely enough I've used cable ties to secure the pole to the fence! I hope it works! :) I will paint the pole at some point so it doesn't stick out scream hill jack!
