Happy Birthday Grandma Etta

SURPRISE...I think she knew something was up

My sweet cousin Lindsey planned a surprise 75th birthday party for my Grandma Etta. Unfortunately, God also planned a blizzard for the same night! We were under a level two snow emergency when I pulled into Grandma's driveway. We convinced her it "wasn't that bad" and she agreed to go to dinner with Me and Wyatt ;-) She tried to get out of it, saying things like. We could just stay home. I'd be OK with going to get pizza and so on. Lindsey and I kept pushing on. "No, Grandma there is this really good restaurant in Springfield. Everyone says its really good. Plus, it's not that bad out."

I think Paul and Beth are helping blow out the candles! Look at those faces! hehe

Thank you to all the wonderful, brave and daring guests who forged their way through the blizzard for my dear Grandma. Lately, she has been worried she dresses too young so If you see her please tell her she is a fashionesta!

Happy Birthday GranT

We made a quick trip to Ohio in between blizzards this past week. We were able to celebrate GranT's and Grandma Etta's birthdays. We also were able to see the Edwards and Yates family too. It was a busy week filled with love, laughter, celebrations and snow! We went to GranT church on Sunday and then stayed afterwards for a benefit lunch. It was hosted by the youth groups to raise money for the Haiti relief.
Then that evening, a dear friend Ruth, hosted a lovely birthday party for GranT. It was so nice to see several of GranTs friends and enjoy all the homemade goodies by Ruth. Here's a tidbit from Ruth. Place simple syrup on the table for guest to use as sweetener for their ice tea! I never had thought of that. It just looked so pretty sitting on the table in its own little pitcher. Mr. Bill and Wyatt got to relax for a little while. Wyatt was getting so cozy in Mr. Bills arms.

GranT snapped this picture of Wyatt and I. Surprisingly, I don't have many pictures of us together. I love the little smirk on his face in this one and his sweet little hand! Oh, so dear.

Friday Finds

I had been wanting to find a rocking chair. I missed being able to rock Wyatt and cuddle with him. Granted, most of the time he is too busy to be held. I started the hunt for a rocking chair. I've priced rockers at:

Babies R Us 300-200 dollars

Wal-Mart 150 dollars

GoodWill 30 dollars

Local Dumpter FREE

Yes, Ladies I found this rocking chair at the dump! haha I think sometimes God just lets you find something you want. It is in great shape and works fine.

I don't think I had posted three month picures yet. After looking at these pictures I think I know why I might have failed to post these.

The Camden Aquarium

This aquarium was amazing!
Here is a picture Beth took of Luke. I didn't realize she had the camera until Luke started to cry. "Beth did you drop the camera on Luke?"
her reply, "Kinda".

So serious for being eaten by a shark. At least her Daddy is trying to save her life.

Somehow this picture looks so inappropriate.

Oh, Now that is much better.

Beth is rocking the 80's hair.

Such a sweet moment.

We could have watched those fish for hours!

Wyatt stayed awake the whole time. He was totally mesmerized by the exhibits.

Homemaking?

Since we have moved I have not be able to get a routine established that allows me to feel like I am keeping up with the housework. Instead lately, I find myself doing laundry, cleaning and picking up the kitchen all day everyday. It has gotten tiring! I decided to do some research on how other stay at home mom organize their days. I came up with this so far...
Monday- Market (grocery store etc)
Tuesday- Tidy up
Wednesday- Wash (laundry and change sheets)
Thursday- Tidy up
Friday- Fun day (free to do whatever needs done or not)
Saturday- Spot clean
Sunday- Spot clean if needed
Please let me know how you organize your day!

Crayola Factory

We went to the Crayola factory as a surprise for Beth.
See below as I was able to catch her excited lil face.
(Ok well anyone who knows Beth right now knows that she is much too busy to take time out of her busy day for a photo shoot. And, if you manage to get her to stand still she will by no means look at the camera when you shoot.)

This place was a clean up crews worst nightmare. Glitter, glue, construction paper, streamers, ribbon, markers, crayons all over the place. But, we all had a great time.
Wyatt wanted his picture taken.
Beth watched how crayons were made with Daddy.
Did you know Crayola uses corn starch to adhere the wrapper to the crayon.
That way its totally edible...kinda.

While watching a commercial for H&R block...

" We need that!"
"You don't know what you are talking about"
"Yes, I do!! Cause, I watch commercials and I know!!!"

Merry Christmas to all and to all a Happy New year! So it has been some time since3 the last post! I am sorry about the delay for all my fans. I was attempting to get several posts done today but, someone not to mentions any names, woke up from his nap and now thinks I should pay all attention to him :-)
Wyatt petting charlie, what a good sport.

My Christmas card wall, this was taken earlier in December and I have received several cards since then. Thank you to everyone who sent us a card. It really made us fill like we were getting to celebrate Christmas with our friends and family.
