Pumpkin Patch

Each year the OSC hosts a Fall Festival on base. This year I was not able to help due to the move and the fact that I had just had Wyatt! It was still a ton of fun. Although, Wyatt may tell you a different story.

Happy two months!

I was so busy when Wyatt turned two months that I forgot to get his picture made with a "2 months" sign. I didn't even remember till he was 2 months and 2 1/2 weeks! I am such a bad Mommy! Whatever was I doing?

Oh yes, I remember now. This was going on that day. The packers and movers where at our house. This crazy mess was all over the front yard. Why do we have so much stuff?

Where's Wyatt?

There he is! Happy two months my big boy!

T-1 photos

As a fundraiser for the squadron Rebbecca takes your family picture with the T-1. Since Daddy was gone Wyatt and I decided to take the opportunity to get our picture made.
"Just the two of us"
You know you wanna sing it!

Wyatts first date

We went out to lunch at the Brown Bag with the girls before we left Del Rio. It was fun and Wyatt was the lone male. Although, he made out pretty good since he was surrounded by pretty girls.

Bumbo!

I got out Wyatt's bumbo seat to see if he was able to seat in it yet. He is almost two months, so he really is too little still. But, He is starting to hold his head up, so I couldn't resist seeing if he would like his seat.

A little wobbly at times.

Laughing it up!

Trying to figure out what mom is doing!

Fat toes

I had Wyatt sitting in my lap the other day when i noticed a bulge on his big toe! i looked it over and squeezed and contemplated why this toe looked so big. Then I discovered nothing was wrong with my kiddos toes. He just has fat toes! Actually, his feet look just like his Daddy's feet.
Silly liitle boy! We were on a walk and I got this little picture.

Twinkies

My friend Darcie at works loves Twinkies! And honestly, who doesn't...except Tiff because she had never had one! Poor thing! Anyway, I looked up on line and found a recipe for homemade Twinkies. They did not disappoint! Oh they were so good and the filling was almost perfect. I almost made myself sick eating so many! They are a little bigger than your average Twinkies...but no one complained.

Little Duckie

A friend at work bought this outfit for Wyatt and she knitted the duck feet booties! i think he looks awfully cute. I was going to let him be a duck for Halloween but this picture is already about three weeks old. Guess what, it doesn't fit anymore! I think in this picture he kinda looks like me.
This outfit is by Mud Pie and they make several little outfits based on E-I-E-I-O. We have this one and the horse outfit too. They are so cute.

3 weeks

Happy three week birthday little man.

Momma got a new pair of shoes!

My Darling Husband is a romantic. He always has known how to swoon me. I knew he was a keeper when we were dating. He would come over to my house with a present almost every time. What did this hopelessly romantic bring? Why only a gallon of mint chocolate chip ice cream, of course! So, I shouldn't have been surprise when after I got home from the hospital he was at it again. Isn't it rememberable that for the birth of our son, momma got a new pair of shoes!!

Now in all honesty, I LOVE these shoes! I don't usually get excited about shoes. Especially, if they are not on sale or at Ross. But, when my friend Darcie showed up in these lovely, glittery, hot pink and grey shoes I fell in love! I came home right away and told DH about how amazing these shoes where. Then when I went into labor, Darcie was there and I kid you not, she worn those amazing shoes while she took care of our precious new baby. I again pointed them out to DH. Guess he realized I really thought those shoes were great because he got me a pair too. Oh, how I am so loved!! Thanks DH! I love my new shoes and wear them every chance I get!
Oh, I also like to click my heels together and says, "There's no place like home."

Happy Birthday Laura

I have been very fortunately to have my mother in law and mother here with me since Wyatt was born. Gran-T stayed a week and Grandma S. will be here 4 more days. Since they were both here I didn't have to do laundry or cook or clean! It was amazing!!! All I had to do was take care of Wyatt and whatever else I found to occupy my time. I decided to take some of the extra time and make nursing pads for my friend L and me. She sent me a link on how to do it and since I am totally cheap I wanted to give it a shot.
Supplies: 4 1/2 inch bowel, 2-3 circles felt, 1 circle fleece.
Trace out your circles, sew them all together with a straight stitch and a zig-zag stitch. trim off excess and there you go! The flannel side goes towards you and the fleece side out.

I wrapped up the nursing pads and gave them to L for her birthday.
Kinda a weird Birthday gift, right?

Welcome Home

Little Mr. Wyatt is now 11 days old! What joy this little man has given us is such a short time. We are is awe and amazement over this little miracle! We are truly blessed and God has been so good to us. Here we are in front of our house with the "Welcome Home" sign from the 86th.

After a walk Wyatt fell asleep on me. I just let him lay there because he looked too comfortable to move. What a sweet baby.
His eyes are typical new born baby blue right now. Although, I think they look darker on the outside. I guess we will just has to wait and see what color they'll be.

Proud Daddy getting a punch to the chin. Sigh, our little UFC! Daddy didn't tap out.

This is after his bath. You can see how blond his hair looks when it is clean. It's funny because you usually don't see blond roots!

Baby Wyatt Lee

Mr Wyatt Lee. Warming up after his bath at Val Verde Regional Medical Center.
What a miracle!

The Labor Story
I thought on the 15th at eleven am that my water was leaking and I was actually on facebook talking to Emma when I thought I felt a small leak. However, I was not sure because I thought, "Hey I might have just pee-peed a little". I went to the bathroom and checked...hum a little fluid but not a lot. So, back to facebook. Then about ten minutes later another small leak. I was more concerned this time and decided to check myself with the Nitrazine q-tip I "borrowed" from the hospital. It was positive. Meaning, I was leaking amniotic fluid. Oh man, I didn't want to go to the hospital till I was really hurting. So, as long as the baby was moving good I decided to stay at home and keep myself busy. I weeding the flower beds, walked around the block, made chocolate chip cookies, did laundry, facebooked some more, picked up dog poop from the yard, watered the flowers, and then around six o'clock at night the contractions finally started to hurt! So, I walked more and at 10pm I thought...I think this might be labor. At this point It was getting difficult to walk. I assured D that it was time to get to the hospital. Not only had I been ruptured for almost 12 hours but, I was really starting to feel the pain. I got to the hospital and my Doctor had signed out, his back up had signed out and I was refusing to see the Doctor who was on call. (I am such a good patient!!) haha So, I went to the L&D unit unsure who was going to be my doctor. I get checked by my dear friend and co-worker Yvonne to find out I was only 2.5cm, 95% effaced and 0,-1 station and Bag of waters about to rupture. Now, I am a pretty OK labor and delivery nurse. So, I knew that because I was a gravida one (first baby) I could potentially not deliver for another 7 hours!!! I was upset with myself for going to the hospital at 2cm! So, I got up and walked for an hour with my wonderful hubby who pushed the IV pole and made me laugh through pains that stopped me in my tracks! Now if you know me well not much will slow me down, but some of those contractions were enough to stop even me. After an hour of walking I was checked again 5 cm! Woo Hoo I was hurting pretty good! Yvonne gave me Stadol 2 mg and told me to sleep. HA Funny we tell people to sleep, but I was out of it. My water broke after a few minutes and one hour later I was completely convinced that I was going to poop in the bed. I even told Yvonne, "I'm serious Yvonne I am going to poop". I laugh now because we tell patients all the time, "You aren't going to poop you are just feeling the pressure as the baby's head comes down the birth canal". Well, I didn't end up pooping either. Yvonne checked me again and I was dilated to 10cm and crowning. (That baby was coming out whether I was ready or not) Oh, we found a doctor to take care of me at this point. Thanks Dr. Salama! Then I remember being allowed to push. I Never thought I would be so happy to push! But, honestly It felt like I was really pooping out a cantaloupe. I was thankful when I finally opened my eyes to see a baby boy and not a cantaloupe! I had only been at the hospital for three hours! Wyatt Lee was born at 0110 am on Aug 16th. Well, that is the the short version of my labor story. (hehe get it short!) Hope you enjoyed!! I left out some details about stitches and other loveliness :-) He passed his hearing test! On the way home from the hospital. We had to stop at Sonic and get something to eat!

Day three of Life! God is so good to us! What an amazing blessing and true joy!

What a baby is supposed to come out?

Wow, I just signed on my blog to check all my friends blogs and see what everyone has been up too. And, then I saw it.... (dun, dun, dun...) 15 days till my due date! What?!?! That's crazy!! I can't believe the time has gone by so fast. I mean, I know my due date is August the 22nd, but I kinda figure this kiddo will hang in their a little longer. Well, at least I hope he does because so far he has no name. Although, I am impressed at the amount of votes for Wyatt. I like it too, but does it sound too Texan? I don't know, and D wants to see what the baby looks like before we pick a name. All I can think about it how frustrated I get with the Mommy's when they ask for a baby name book. A great lesson to learn, even after 9 months I'll probably be that momma too. "Hum.. excuse me nurse do you have a baby name book?"
"What after nine months you couldn't pick out a name?"
Some other baby name suggestions have been Max, Napoleon and Isaac.
We also have been looking at houses in the Lumberton, NJ area. It is so much fun to have a reason to spend countless hours on realtor.com and zillow.com. I feel like it is totally justifiable that I have spent probably 15 plus hours building an excel spreadsheet with all the comparable.
I also had a docotors appointment today. Everything is looking good. Baby Mac is about 6.5 lbs. So, Dr A said that he will probably be about 7 lbs at birth. I told Dr A that was a-okay with me the smaller he is the less damage to me! The Mom's are coming in to await Baby Mac's arrive next week, and I am looking forward to spending some time with them. I have a few projects we can do if we are still waiting on mister little one. I really want to wash all the glasses and pot and pans with vinagar! The water here is so bad and I have calcium deposits all over everything. Do you think they will mind doing dishes! hehe I also would like to refinish the antique baby highchair I brough last summer in Ohio and restain the porch swing. Hopefully, d will let me take the swing to NJ with us. Oh, and I have several baby gifts that I need to get sewing on. I hope this kiddo gives me enough time to finish all my projects! HA
